(AFP) Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz (SPD) hat US-Präsident Donald Trump unmittelbar nach dessen Vereidigung zum Amtsantritt gratuliert. "Die USA sind unser engster Verbündeter und ein gutes transatlantisches Verhältnis ist stets Ziel unserer Politik", schrieb Scholz am Montagabend im Internetdienst X.
"Als EU mit 27 Mitgliedern und mehr als 400 Millionen Menschen sind wir eine starke Gemeinschaft", betonte er zudem das Gewicht der Europäer.
