Trump is still in the lead: Harris is a different caliber than Biden - but a message is missing

About a week has passed since US President Biden's abrupt candidate change to his Vice Harris. The Republicans are throwing everything they have around indiscriminately.

The Democrats are sorting themselves out. Who will gain the first lead?

It only took a few days. Instead of promoting US President Joe Biden, his 1,300-strong campaign team had to switch to a new designated candidate.

Kamala Harris is Biden's Vice President, she was previously a well-known Senator because she asked relentlessly and ruthlessly in hearings. Now she is supposed to 'defend democracy' as Biden announced in his speech to the nation.

Harris is supposed to prevent another Donald Trump presidency in November. The first poll results after the Democrats' change of course confirm what they had hoped for: a fresh start against the seasoned Trump.

87 percent of Americans believe Biden made the right decision with his resignation. The 59-year-old Democrat is consistently polling better against Trump than the 81-year-old Biden.
