Liberal ‘White Dudes’ Rally for Kamala Harris as Potential VP Picks Narrow

The 'White Dudes for Harris' group, comprising prominent figures like Bradley Whitford, Tim Walz, Pete Buttigick, Josh Groban, Lance Bass, and Mark Hamill, held an inaugural meeting with 60,000 attendees organized by Democratic organizers to show their solidarity, raise funds, and prove that Donald J. Trump does not speak for white men, drawing comparisons to Barack Obama's first presidential run.

Meanwhile, the pool of potential running mates for Harris is narrowing, with North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ruling themselves out. Other rumored potential running mates include Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly.

With Harris, Georgia Democrats see a 'fighting chance' to galvanize Black voters and young people, a loyal Democratic bloc in the state.
