War against Ukraine: Costly and Challenging

The war against Ukraine continues to be a costly and challenging endeavor. Ukraine claims that every day of war costs them over 120 million euros, with monthly security and defense costs exceeding 3.7 billion euros.

To cover the budget deficit of over 11 billion euros, the Ukrainian government plans to raise taxes, including a tripling of the military levy. This has led to a surge in new car sales in Ukrainian cities.

Ukraine has also sought financial support from the United States, receiving an additional 200 million dollars in aid. However, despite financial assistance, the cost of the war remains a significant burden.

Russia continues its military advances, recently capturing the town of Pyvdenne in eastern Ukraine. The situation is further complicated by China's support for Russia, which has caused friction with Italy and raised concerns about China's neutrality.

Ukraine is preparing for the winter to prevent a greater energy crisis and is working on enhancing its air defense systems. The Russian Navy is also conducting extensive fleet exercises, involving thousands of soldiers and hundreds of ships and submarines.
