Ukraine War Update: Borrell Supports Ukraine Using Western Weapons in Russia

EU foreign policy chief Borrell has spoken in favor of allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons on Russian soil to strengthen its self-defense. The Ukrainian Air Force has successfully attacked Russian positions in the Kursk region, including bridges over the Seim River, which were destroyed with US missiles.

Many people are fleeing villages near the front due to the ongoing fighting. Russia and China are deepening their energy cooperation.

The Ukrainian parliament has ratified accession to the International Criminal Court, but with an exception for the military. Russia is the only country that has not accepted Switzerland's invitation to visit the UN Security Council.

Moscow's mayor describes the recent drone attack on the capital as one of the largest since the start of the war. The independent Ukrainian Church calls on Moscow-loyal Christians to convert.

Russia accuses Western intelligence services of being behind the Ukrainian advance in Kursk and reports the shooting down of ten Ukrainian drones over Moscow and a total of 45 drones over Russia. Russia has attacked Ukraine with almost 70 drones overnight.
