Israeli Army: Two Alleged Attackers Killed in the West Bank

The Israeli army has killed two alleged Palestinian attackers in the occupied West Bank. One was responsible for an attempted car bombing near the Israeli settlement of Gush Etzion, injuring a soldier and a reservist.

The second attacker was killed after entering the Karmei Zur settlement and colliding with the security chief's vehicle. The radical Islamist Hamas and Islamic Jihad claimed the attackers as their fighters.

Fighting continues in the stronghold of Jenin, while Israeli soldiers have withdrawn from other Palestinian cities. The operation in the West Bank began on Wednesday, and aid agencies report that four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike.

The victims were local escorts volunteering with Move One. Amidst ceasefire pauses, the World Health Organization is delivering polio vaccines to Gaza.

The UN warns of the risk of regional war, and the US urges Israel to prevent attacks on the UN. Kamala Harris calls for a ceasefire and hostage release, but the Biden administration's arms policy towards Israel remains unchanged.

The EU considers sanctions on Israeli ministers for hate speech, and the IDF has completed a month-long operation in Khan Younis and Deir el-Balah, killing over 250 fighters. The UN peacekeeping chief warns of significant regional escalation risk, and Hamas praises the attacks in the West Bank.
