Strengthening Bridge Infrastructure in Lower Saxony

Lower Saxony is set to address the alarming deterioration of its 4,800 bridges by hiring 30 additional bridge engineers. This initiative aims to establish a balance in maintenance while ensuring the replacement of 150 critical bridges by 2035. Without timely intervention, projections indicate that the number of dilapidated bridges could soar to 407 within the same timeframe.
