Trump Threatens Legal Action Against Google

Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for the upcoming US presidential election, is calling for the prosecution of Google. He accuses the tech giant of displaying disproportionately negative stories about him while showing only positive articles about his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris.

Trump expressed his concerns on his social media platform, Truth Social, labeling Google's actions as illegal and demanding that the Justice Department take action against the company for what he calls blatant election interference. If no action is taken, Trump vows to pursue the matter himself should he win the election in November.

He provided no concrete evidence to support his claims. Google's response to these accusations has remained consistent: the company denies any bias in its search results, attributing the rankings to factors like popularity and publication date.

This isn't the first time Trump has made unsubstantiated claims. He previously alleged widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to Joe Biden.

Google maintains that both candidates' websites appeared among the top search results when the terms were evaluated. The company continues to assert that it does not manipulate its search algorithms to favor any political candidate.
