Coca-Cola Closes Five German Locations Amid Market Challenges
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, the largest beverage producer in Germany, is closing five of its 27 locations. This decision affects sites in Cologne, Neumünster, Berlin-Hohenschönhausen, Bielefeld, and Memmingen.
The closures will result in the loss of 505 jobs, while 207 positions will be relocated, and 78 new roles will be created. The changes come as the company adapts to a competitive market environment and shifts in beverage logistics, including a move from direct deliveries to central warehouse distribution and increased orders from smaller customers via beverage wholesalers.
Managing Director Tilmann Rothhammer emphasizes that the restructuring aims to enhance efficiency and will be implemented in a socially responsible manner.
