Typhoon Krathon: A Looming Threat to the Philippines and Taiwan

Typhoon Krathon, also known as Julian, is currently battering the Philippines and is poised to strike Taiwan. This powerful storm, with winds reaching up to 230 km/h, has already triggered evacuations and school closures across northern Luzon.

The typhoon's intensity raises concerns of flooding and landslides, mirroring the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013. As Krathon approaches, Taiwan is mobilizing 40,000 troops to assist with evacuation efforts and disaster response.
