Tragedy in the Mountains: Accidents in Berchtesgaden and Tirol

First responders acted quickly, preventing her from being swept away by the cold water. She sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital via helicopter.

Meanwhile, in Tirol, Austria, a 21-year-old mountaineer from Brandenburg tragically lost his life. The young man had embarked on a challenging hike towards the Hohe Munde summit in poor weather conditions. Despite setting off a distress signal after a significant fall, rescue efforts were hampered by treacherous weather and the risk of further avalanches. His body was discovered after several days of searching, following an initial failed helicopter rescue attempt.
