Tragedy Strikes Bosnia and Herzegovina

A devastating landslide near Mostar has resulted in at least 16 fatalities, with ongoing rescue efforts for missing individuals. Heavy storms triggered massive flooding, submerging entire villages and causing significant destruction.

The disaster particularly impacted the central village of Jablanica and nearby Konjic, where debris and mud have overwhelmed infrastructure. In response to the crisis, the tripartite presidency of Bosnia has mobilized military assistance, including engineering units and helicopters.

The tragedy has deeply affected the local communities, with some families suffering unimaginable losses, including the death of four members from one household. As rescue teams continue their search, the full extent of the devastation becomes increasingly apparent.
