Tragedy Strikes at Historic Gold Mine in Colorado

A tragic accident occurred at the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine in Cripple Creek, Colorado, resulting in the death of one tourist and leaving twelve others trapped. The incident was caused by a malfunction in the elevator trolley, which operates at a depth of approximately 1,000 feet. Emergency services, including the Teller County Sheriff's Office and state engineers, are working tirelessly to rescue those trapped. Among the trapped individuals is an experienced tour guide.
