DBV Seeks New Sports Director After Short Tenure

The Deutsche Badminton-Verband (DBV) is on the lookout for a new sports director just five months after parting ways with Niclas Hildebrand. Announced on Monday, this decision follows Hildebrand's brief tenure, which began in May after his previous role with the German beach volleyball team.

The DBV has yet to determine who will succeed him, but plans to distribute his responsibilities internally until a replacement is found. Hildebrand's transition to the DBV came after he was released from his contract with the Deutscher Volleyball-Verband (DVV) in the summer of 2022, taking over from longtime director Martin Kranitz this spring.
