Escalation in Eastern Ukraine: A Complex Conflict Unfolds

Eastern Ukraine is witnessing an escalation in hostilities as Russian forces advance towards key strategic locations. The industrial city of Pokrowsk, with a pre-war population of 50,000, now stands as a focal point in the conflict. The city is currently besieged, with Russian troops reported to be a mere seven kilometers from its center.
