Bavarian Government's Strategic Budget Planning for 2025
The Bavarian Cabinet is preparing a supplementary budget for 2025 to address significant budget gaps. With tax shortfalls projected at 2.4 billion euros by 2026, the government aims to maintain a 15% investment quota.
Finance Minister Füracker has highlighted an expected revenue decrease of 900 million euros for 2025. To support municipalities, an additional 600 million euros will be allocated for financial equalization. A 350 million euro transformation fund will also be introduced to foster digitalization and decarbonization efforts.
Prime Minister Söder assures that the government will not implement budget cuts, emphasizing a commitment to stability in the face of economic challenges.
