US Proposes Ceasefire in Lebanon Amid Escalating Middle East Tensions

The United States has put forward a ceasefire proposal aimed at easing the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. This proposal was communicated to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker by the US Ambassador. Meanwhile, Israel asserts its right to continue military actions against Hezbollah, intensifying an already volatile situation.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with 3,386 fatalities and 14,417 injuries reported in Lebanon since the onset of hostilities. In Israel, 76 people have died, including both soldiers and civilians. The humanitarian crisis is further aggravated by Canada's warning of impending famine in the Gaza Strip.

Adding to the chaos, recent Israeli airstrikes have led to the deaths of rescue workers, including members of the Hezbollah rescue service. Airstrikes have also impacted regions in Syria, with at least 15 people killed near Damascus.
