Revamped Schoolyard Enhances Campus Hannah Höch

The newly redesigned schoolyard at Campus Hannah Höch in Berlin's Märkische Viertel has officially opened. The inauguration was attended by District Mayor Emine Demirbüken-Wegner, City Development Councilor Korinna Stephan, and Environmental Councilor Julia Schrod-Thiel. The revitalized area features a range of ecological and inclusive facilities, offering students a climbing tower, an upgraded theatron, a sand play landscape, a roller track, and a balancing course.

This transformation began with a groundbreaking ceremony in July 2023. Construction kicked off during the summer holidays and reached completion in the fall. The project was supported by a funding of approximately 1.35 million euros from the "Sustainable Renewal" program. This investment underscores the district's commitment to creating engaging and environmentally friendly spaces for young learners. The newly opened schoolyard promises to enhance the educational experience by integrating leisure and learning in a vibrant setting.
