Winter Weather Causes Chaos in Germany

Winter weather in southern Germany has led to numerous accidents and road blockages, particularly affecting Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. Heavy snowfall resulted in hundreds of accidents and vehicles getting stuck, especially on the A98 highway. Emergency services worked tirelessly to assist those trapped, clearing roads by Friday morning. Despite the chaos, most incidents resulted in only minor injuries.

In the Bodenseekreis, a car stranded on train tracks was hit by a regional train, causing significant damage but no injuries. In Schleswig-Holstein, snowy and icy conditions also led to accidents, including a major collision on the A7. The planned closure of the A7 was postponed due to weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Deutsche Bahn reported disruptions in international train services. The weather has since calmed, although some areas still face snow and wind warnings.
