Celebrating Excellence in Education and Innovation

The Hessian University Prize for Excellence in Teaching honored four outstanding projects, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice while focusing on student needs. The first prize was awarded to Professor Michèle Knodt and her team from the Technical University of Darmstadt for their project on shaping the energy transition.

Goethe University Frankfurt received the second prize for 'Call-a-CAB,' a coaching initiative. The third prize was given to Professor Cornelia Füssenhäuser and Diana Bruski from RheinMain University for 'Game of Theories,' a board game on social work.

A student initiative award went to Goethe University's 'MakeLab.' Science Minister Timon Gremmels highlighted the jury's selection from 45 applications across 14 universities. Elsewhere, the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde was lauded with the German Sustainability Award for its pioneering role in educational transformation.

Additionally, the Fraunhofer Institute IZM and ams OSRAM were recognized with the German Future Prize for their innovative LED technology, "Digital Light."
