Pakistan Pushes for Fair Play in ICC Events

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear that Pakistan will not accept unilateral decisions by the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding future tournaments. In a quest for fair treatment, Naqvi has proposed a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy. This model suggests hosting India's matches in Dubai, with the possibility of Pakistan hosting the semi-finals and finals if India does not qualify. Naqvi's stance is rooted in the belief that cricket should be kept separate from politics.

The PCB is also demanding a larger share of the revenue and insists on the same hybrid arrangement for future ICC events in India through 2031. These demands include neutral venues for matches involving Pakistan and India, emphasizing reciprocity in hosting rights. The PCB's position has been firm, despite potential public backlash, as they seek to ensure that Pakistan's dignity and interests are preserved in international cricket relations.
