Berlin Senate Adjusts Science Funding Cuts

The Berlin Senate has revised its plans for funding cuts in the science sector, affecting several educational institutions. Notably, the Berlin University will face a reduction of 17 million euros, which is a slight easing from previous proposals. The Student Union's cuts have also been moderated to 6.55 million euros. Importantly, the subsidy for the Center for Information Technology remains intact. Overall, savings have shifted from an original target of 100 million euros to a revised goal of 106.7 million euros through renegotiated contracts.
