CDU Dominates Pre-Election Donations

In the lead-up to the federal election, the CDU has emerged as a prominent recipient of major donations among German political parties. The party amassed 1.952 million euros in substantial contributions, far outpacing its rivals. The FDP followed with 820,000 euros, while the Greens received 245,000 euros. An unexpected player, the European party Volt, secured a significant donation of 1 million euros.
