In a striking demonstration against a liquefied gas summit, climate activists from the group Last Generation took to the streets in front of the prestigious Adlon Hotel in
Berlin. Their protest was marked by throwing green paint at the hotel and gluing themselves to a vehicle, acts intended to symbolize their disapproval of what they perceive as greenwashing by the energy summit.
The gathering at the Adlon Hotel included around 500 representatives from the energy sector, focused on topics such as energy security and decarbonization. However, Last Generation saw these discussions as insufficient and sought to draw attention to their cause through direct action.
The protest turned confrontational, resulting in over 120 arrests.
