Wintry Weather Conditions Across Germany

Germany is bracing for wintry weather, with snow and frost dominating the forecast in many regions. In the south and mountainous areas, slight snowfall is expected above 600 meters, accompanied by continuous frost. The risk of icy roads is significant, particularly in Bavaria where the Deutscher Wetterdienst has issued warnings. Here, temperatures could drop to as low as -4 degrees at night, especially in the Alps and other higher elevations.

The north of Germany faces windy and cloudy conditions, with some areas experiencing drizzle. Coastal regions will see rain and wind, with temperatures peaking between 4 and 6 degrees in places like Hamburg. In contrast, parts of NRW and the Ruhr area are mostly overcast but largely free of precipitation, with a chance of clearer skies by Friday.

The central uplands and the south of the Main River may receive several centimeters of fresh snow. As the week progresses, a new weather front could bring more snow and freezing rain by the weekend. Across Germany, the weather remains chilly, with persistent frost and the potential for ice, especially during the night.
