Red-Green Coalition's Climate and Social Reforms

The Red-Green coalition in Germany is actively campaigning with bold draft laws aimed at social and environmental reforms. Central to their agenda is the introduction of a 'climate allowance' to alleviate financial pressures on low and middle-income earners. This initiative is set to be financed through CO2 pricing revenues, with additional plans for expanding subsidy programs and supporting electric vehicle purchases.

The coalition also seeks to simplify and accelerate governmental processes, promoting sustainable economic growth through increased investments and a focus on renewable energy. Despite opposition hurdles, the Red-Green alliance is pushing for reduced VAT on food and tax relief measures.
