Precautionary School Closure Due to Mpox Cases

A special needs school in Rösrath has closed its doors until the Christmas holidays due to confirmed Mpox cases within a local family. This decision, made in consultation with health authorities, aims to prevent further spread of the virus, particularly the Klade 1b variant.

Distance learning will be implemented for students during this period. Health officials have begun tracing contacts of the infected individuals and have provided information on Mpox symptoms, which include rashes, fever, and pain.
