Mysterious Illness Disrupts Semperoper Concert

During a concert at Dresden's Semperoper, multiple attendees reported feeling unwell, resulting in a significant emergency response. Three individuals received on-site medical attention, with two requiring hospital care, and one person was found unconscious.

Surprisingly, even emergency responders exhibited similar symptoms. Despite these alarming developments, tests failed to identify any hazardous substances in the venue.

The Saxon State Orchestra, under Philippe Herreweghe, was performing works by Haydn and Mozart when the incident occurred. Fortunately, the audience exited the hall calmly as the performance concluded, and no evacuation was necessary.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the mysterious illness that affected both concertgoers and emergency personnel. In total, around 40 rescue workers were involved in the operation, and Wednesday's scheduled performance by the Semperoper children's choir remains under consideration.

Police are urging anyone with symptoms to seek medical assistance.
