Season of Giving: Montanus School's Holiday Initiative

For 15 years, Montanus Secondary School has engaged in a heartwarming tradition, packing gift boxes for the Leverkusen Food Bank. This initiative began as a simple secret Santa activity, evolving into a significant community effort.

Each box is filled with non-perishable food, hygiene products, and gifts for children, emphasizing the spirit of giving during the Advent season. The organization involves class representatives and homeroom teachers, showcasing student involvement, particularly from the 5th grade, which contributed 20 boxes this year.

The total collected has steadily risen, from 151 boxes last year to a projected 210 this year. The Leverkusen Food Bank, in collaboration with various local organizations, aims to distribute 1,400 packages to those in need, reinforcing the message that small contributions can lead to substantial impact.

This initiative not only provides essential items but also fosters community spirit and support during the festive season.
