Safety Measures for New Year Celebrations in Berlin

As New Year's Eve approaches, Berlin has implemented specific fireworks ban zones for 2024/2025 to enhance public safety. The regulations will be in effect from December 31, 2024, at 6 PM until January 1, 2025, at 6 AM, particularly around ten train stations and three crime hotspots.

Additionally, there is a strict prohibition on various weapons, including firearms and irritant gas, even for those holding a small arms license. This initiative mirrors similar measures taken in Düsseldorf, where over 73,000 individuals were checked in the Altstadt, resulting in numerous weapon confiscations.
