A survey by the Baden-Württemberg Trade Association reveals a mixed sentiment among retailers, though nearly three-quarters expect a significant increase in sales on Monday and Tuesday morning.

Despite lower-than-expected foot traffic, attributed to uncertainty following an incident in Magdeburg, retailers remain optimistic about the holiday season's final push. The association's Managing Director, Sabine Hagmann, encourages customers to support brick-and-mortar stores. With expectations of a 121.4 billion Euro revenue for November and December, retailers are counting on cash and vouchers as key contributors to a robust year-end performance.
