Acts of Compassion Illuminate Christmas Spirit

On Christmas Eve, Bishop Kirsten Fehrs led a heartfelt service for the homeless in Hamburg, highlighting themes of community and courage in uncertain times. Attendees enjoyed a festive meal of wild goulash, red cabbage, and dumplings, while Fehrs shared the comforting message, "Do not be afraid." Similarly, in Berlin, the Arche organization hosted a free Christmas meal for over 1,100 people, focusing on children from low-income families.

This event, held at the Berliner Hofbräuhaus, provided much-needed warmth and joy, with each child receiving a gift from Santa. Meanwhile, in Hückeswagen, the Islandtafel's annual Christmas celebration distributed over 100 packages to attendees, primarily refugees and the needy, ensuring no one faced food scarcity during the holidays.
