James Webb Telescope Reveals Insights into Early Galaxies

The James Webb Space Telescope has significantly advanced our understanding of the universe by capturing images of galaxies that mirror the Milky Way. Notably, the galaxy known as 'Firefly Flare' emerged approximately 600 million years post-Big Bang, showcasing ten distinct star clusters.

These findings, led by Lamiya Mowla from Wellesley College, offer valuable insights into the formation and evolution of galaxies, particularly the Milky Way. Additionally, the telescope has uncovered ultra-massive galaxies like Zhúlóng, which displays characteristics of early galaxy formation and challenges previous notions about the timeline of mature galaxies.
