Magdeburg Attacker's Dubious Medical Career Uncovered

The recent attack at Magdeburg's Christmas market has unveiled a troubling backstory involving the assailant, Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen, a Saudi national with a controversial medical career in Germany. Employed initially in Bernburg, Abdulmohsen was responsible for overseeing three therapy areas at a local clinic. However, his competence came into question as patients complained about incorrect treatments, earning him the moniker 'Doctor Google' due to his habit of searching for answers online.

Further investigations revealed allegations of a fraudulent psychiatry diploma and inadequate medical skills, leading to his prohibition from patient care in Bernburg and later at Salus, a psychiatric and psychology clinic. Serious accusations of malpractice, including administering incorrect medications, emerged, compounded by his inability to perform basic medical procedures like injections.

In response to these concerns, proceedings for the revocation of his medical license were initiated. Abdulmohsen, who has lived in Germany since 2006, struggled with the language, further complicating his medical practice. Despite these deficiencies, he continued working until the tragic incident at the Christmas market, which resulted in five deaths and over 200 injuries.
