The CSU is also targeting the misuse of asylum seekers' payment cards, claiming a "left-wing circumvention industry" linked to the Green party facilitates the exchange of these cards for cash. The party plans to introduce technical measures to prevent such exchanges, aiming to curb the transfer of funds to migrants' home countries.
As the Bundestag election campaign intensifies, the CSU remains steadfast in its security-focused agenda, presenting a "security plan for a law-and-order Germany." The party's stance, however, risks crossing legal boundaries, as critics highlight potential violations of international conventions and human rights principles.
