Surge in UFO Sightings Attributed to Satellites

In 2023, the CENAP reporting center documented a staggering 1,084 UFO sightings, marking a record for the organization. Most of these reports were linked to visible Starlink satellites, alongside other astronomical phenomena.

Established in 1973, CENAP analyzes photos and videos, cross-referencing them with a comprehensive archive and examining flight patterns to clarify sightings. The findings often reveal that many reports stem from common sources, such as drones, aircraft, and even meteorological events.

Notably, 99 percent of the reports come from everyday individuals, highlighting a growing public interest in aerial phenomena. As the investigation continues, 30 additional sightings have already been recorded in 2024.
