VW's Strategic Push in North America

Volkswagen Group is embarking on a robust growth strategy in North America, spearheaded by CEO Oliver Blume. With a significant investment of $15 billion in the United States and $5 billion in Canada, VW aims to reduce its reliance on the Chinese market.

A key innovation includes the introduction of Range Extender technology for electric vehicles, designed to alleviate customer concerns about driving ranges. The luxury brand Porsche serves as a guiding model for this strategy, with new offerings anticipated from the US-based Scout brand.

Despite the looming threat of high tariffs under the Trump administration, VW expresses a commitment to collaborate closely with the government, viewing Trump's economic approach as an opportunity rather than a setback.
