Generous Donation from Fruit Logistica

In a commendable act of generosity, 57 tons of surplus fruit and vegetables from the Fruit Logistica trade fair were donated to the Berlin Food Bank. This initiative, supported by over 500 volunteers, involved the collection and distribution of food to assist those in need.

The logistical efforts included 28 trucks and the collaboration of organizations like the Technical Relief Organization, the Fire Department, and the Red Cross. Volunteers meticulously sorted the produce at a local market, processing perishable items into 2,000 jars of jam for wider distribution.

The trade fair, showcasing advancements in artificial intelligence and environmental sustainability, highlighted the importance of community support and resource management.
