Delta Air Lines Responds to Toronto Crash with Compensation

Delta Air Lines has announced it will compensate each of the 76 passengers and 4 crew members with $30,000 following a dramatic incident involving their CRJ900 aircraft at Toronto Pearson Airport. The plane, which was en route from Minneapolis, crashed and overturned on the runway.

Remarkably, all 80 individuals aboard survived the ordeal, although 21 were injured, with one remaining hospitalized. Deborah Flint, the airport's CEO, commended the flight crew for their exemplary conduct during the emergency.

Delta stated the process of recovering and cleaning passengers' belongings may take several weeks. This incident contributes to a troubling pattern of aviation mishaps recently recorded in North America, including a tragic military helicopter crash in Washington that resulted in 67 fatalities.
