Hyundai Ioniq 9: Korea's New Electric Contender

Hyundai is set to shake the electric vehicle market with the introduction of the Ioniq 9, challenging existing SUVs and vans. This new model promises a spacious design with three rows of seats and a substantial luggage capacity of up to 1,323 liters. With a powerful 110 kWh battery, the Ioniq 9 offers an impressive range of 620 kilometers and can reach speeds up to 200 km/h.

For those seeking comfort, the Ioniq 9 features optional captain's chairs in the second row, complete with reclining and massage functions. The electric vehicle is equipped with either a rear-mounted motor producing 160 kW/218 hp or dual motors offering up to 320 kW/436 hp. Charging is efficient, achieving 80% capacity in just 24 minutes using 250 kW fast charging.

This ambitious release positions Hyundai as a strong competitor against models like Volkswagen's ID.Buzz and Mercedes' EQE. Sales are expected to start in late spring, with deliveries following in the summer, all at a price point just under 70,000 euros.
