Proposed Visa Restrictions Affecting 41 Nations

The United States is set to implement significant changes to its entry regulations for 41 countries. A complete visa ban is proposed for ten nations, including Afghanistan, Iran, and North Korea.

Five additional countries, such as Eritrea and Haiti, will face partial restrictions. Furthermore, the U.S. is considering a temporary suspension of visa issuance for 26 more nations, notably Belarus and Pakistan, contingent upon improvements in their security protocols.

Notably, the small nation of Bhutan may also see travel bans despite its reputation for sustainable tourism. This new policy is characterized by its extensive reach, targeting countries often grappling with poverty and corruption, many of which have predominantly Muslim populations.
