Racial Abuse and Violence Against Youths in Germany

Recent incidents in Berlin and Dresden highlight alarming cases of racial abuse directed at children. In Berlin-Friedrichshain, two young boys, aged 13 and 11, faced racial insults and physical aggression when an unknown assailant struck one of them with a burning cigarette, leaving a mark on his jacket.

This distressing event unfolded at the Ostkreuz S-Bahn station, prompting an investigation by State Protection. Meanwhile, in Dresden, a 15-year-old was threatened and assaulted by two men displaying Nazi symbols on a bus.

The attackers not only verbally abused him but also resorted to violence, making the situation even more perilous. These incidents raise grave concerns about rising intolerance and aggression in public spaces, particularly towards vulnerable youths.
