Collaboration for a Stronger Welfare State

Three SPD social ministers, Dörte Schall, Heike Hofmann, and Magnus Jung, are uniting efforts to strengthen the welfare state across various domains. Their focus lies on enhancing employability, labor market integration, and childcare services, while also safeguarding the social safety net against neoliberal and anti-democratic challenges.

They are organizing a series of congresses aimed at addressing crucial social issues such as poverty reduction, the needs of part-time workers, and the support for single parents. The inaugural congress will take place on November 7 in Rheinland-Pfalz, setting the stage for collaborative discussions on social policy.

The ministers aim to create supportive frameworks for migrants and those affected by poverty while ensuring access to quality childcare. This initiative reflects a commitment to bolster the social infrastructure and improve living standards for vulnerable populations, ensuring a robust and responsive welfare state.
