Denmark Stands Firm Amid US-Greenland Tensions

Denmark has announced plans to purchase additional F-35 fighter jets from the United States, despite tensions arising from US interest in Greenland's sovereignty. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized the necessity of strengthening Denmark's fighter jet fleet and dismissed the idea of ending long-standing military cooperation with the US.

Concerns have been raised in Denmark about potential security risks, including the possibility of the US remotely disabling the jets. These concerns have fueled debate, especially following President Trump's suggestion of acquiring Greenland, which Denmark has firmly rejected.
