Pioneering Polar Orbit: SpaceX's Fram2 Mission

SpaceX has embarked on a groundbreaking journey with its Fram2 mission, marking the first time a crewed spacecraft has traveled in a polar orbit. This mission features a diverse crew, including Rabea Rogge, the first German woman in space, alongside a Chinese-born Maltese entrepreneur, a Norwegian filmmaker, and an Australian polar guide. Fram2, named after the famous Norwegian explorer ship, is a private venture funded by Bitcoin mining tycoon Chun Wang.

The mission launched aboard a Crew Dragon capsule propelled by a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida. During their three to five-day journey, the crew will circle the Earth from pole to pole, reaching altitudes between 425 and 450 kilometers.
