Rising Concerns Over Child Safety in Traffic Accidents

Recent incidents involving children and vehicles have raised alarming concerns about road safety. A two-year-old boy in Welzheim was struck and dragged by an e-bike rider, who fled without assisting the injured child.

In another case, a 13-year-old suffered severe facial injuries after crashing an e-scooter, prompting police investigations due to safety violations. Additionally, a young boy was struck while trying to cross the street on his scooter, resulting in serious injuries.

Tragically, in Wedemark, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl was fatally injured when a truck hit her while she was riding her scooter. These events highlight the urgent need for increased awareness and stricter regulations to protect vulnerable road users, particularly children, from preventable harm.
