Meanwhile, Federal Economics Minister Katherina Reiche is promoting the development of new gas power plants in southern Germany. Her plan includes a 'South Bonus' to encourage investments, aiming to reduce energy costs for businesses and enhance their competitiveness. Reiche stresses the need to balance energy security, affordability, and climate protection.
