Helsing Secures Major Investment, Solidifying Its Position in Defense Tech

Helsing, a prominent German defense technology startup, has successfully raised 600 million euros in its latest Series D funding round. This substantial investment, led by Prima Materia and notable figures such as Spotify's Daniel Ek, has propelled the company's total funding to an impressive 1.37 billion euros. The new valuation of Helsing now stands at 12 billion euros, more than double its previous worth, marking a significant milestone in the defense sector.

The startup specializes in developing artificial intelligence-driven capabilities for military applications, including advanced drones and underwater reconnaissance systems. Since its operations began in Ukraine in 2022, Helsing has gained traction for its innovative approach and effective software solutions, which have attracted a wave of investor interest in the defense technology market.

With European governments bolstering their military capabilities, Helsing has emerged as a key player, providing essential technology and support. The company’s offerings, notably the HX-2 kamikaze drone, are already operational in Ukraine and are being evaluated by the German military.
