Poland has initiated stationary border controls at its border with Germany to curb the influx of migrants. This move, announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, is a direct response to earlier German measures aimed at tightening border security. Germany's actions included increased surveillance and the rejection of asylum seekers at the Polish border, initiated by former Interior Minister Nancy Faeser.
