Former Trigema CEO Opens Up About Age-Related Depression and Recovery

Wolfgang Grupp, the former CEO of Trigema, has courageously shared his struggle with age-related depression and a recent suicide attempt. At 83, Grupp revealed in a letter to his employees that he felt uncertain about his continued relevance, leading him to attempt ending his life.

He expressed regret over his actions and emphasized the significance of seeking professional help for those experiencing depression. Grupp spent ten days in the hospital before addressing his staff and used this experience to raise awareness about age-related depression.

He thanked his family and medical professionals for their support and voiced confidence in his children, who now lead Trigema. Grupp's openness aims to remove the stigma around depression and encourage others to seek help.
